After four years of practice in Barcelona, Sylvia Felipe and Jordi Truco moved to London searching for contemporary influences in their carrier and for new strategies to design in architecture based in research and investigation in the natural environement. During their stage in London they coursed the Emergent Technologies and Design Masters at the Architectural Association School of Architecture, obtaining several awards. During this period they have conceived this much more empirical view of designing, based more on method than manifestos. Experimentation has been consolidated, and the door has clearly been opened in recent decades to new digital technologies and computational processes. Therefore some concepts have start having a lot of sense, such as emergence, complexity or self-organisation, which explain fundamental behaviours and phenomena for contemporary science and that today are crucial at the design aproach at Hybrida.
